THE WOMEN OF PURPOSE CAMPAIGN SEEKS YOUR SUPPORT IN FUNDING FOUR MAJOR PRIORITIES. THESE PRIORITIES ARE PART OF AN OVERALL STRATEGIC ENDEAVOR TO MAKE SALEM STRONGER, MORE WIDELY KNOWN, AND MORE ACCESSIBLE TO GIRLS AND WOMEN OF EXCEPTIONAL PROMISE.
Infrastructure and TechnologyAt both the Academy and the College, we must provide students with state-of-the-art facilities that will be suitable for educating the next generation of scientific researchers and health care professionals. We are also building a residence hall for the College, renovating Academy dormitories, and updating vital components of our athletic facilities. These efforts will help to ensure the presence of Salem Academy and Salem College in the first rank of educational institutions.
Financial StabilitySalem Academy and College has educated girls and women for almost 250 years. Our commitment to carrying on this mission remains steadfast in the twenty-first century. Salem must continue to fortify its position through increased annual fund contributions in order to ensure a firm financial foundation in support of our intellectual mission.
Bert Lain Tennis CenterSalem’s new tennis venue, which has been named through a gift from an anonymous donor, will honor Salem College professor Norbert F. “Bert” Lain in recognition of his lifelong support of women’s education, including the education that takes place on athletic courts and fields.
