Leadership

Message from the Campaign Co-Chairs

Alumnae, Friends and Family of Salem Academy and College,

It is our great pleasure to serve as the co-chairs of Women of Purpose, the breakthrough campaign for Salem Academy and College. From our storied beginnings, when sixteen girls and women walked 500 miles from Pennsylvania to settle in the town of Salem, the Moravian belief in equal education initiated a revolutionary opportunity. For 243 years, Salem has educated confident, ambitious and highly skilled girls and women, whose journeys have positively impacted our world.

The Women of Purpose campaign is our opportunity to honor Salem’s remarkable history and to support its bright future with $60 million in bold investments in the people, places and programs that make Salem’s transformative education possible for generations to follow. This campaign underscores our commitment to provide a rigorous academic program, with a special emphasis on strengthening our position and our potential in the sciences and mathematics. It enables more, high-caliber students to pursue a Salem education. It reinforces our dedication to offer experiences outside the classroom—experiences that are critical to the personal, social, and spiritual growth of our students.

We are asking for your support in helping Salem to fulfill its vital mission of educating and preparing girls and women for a world that needs their ambition, their passion and their leadership.

Please give generously in support of these Salem women of purpose.

Gratefully,
